I dont know if i need a driver or not or how to get them working?

You need to find out what drivers both use. Some wifi drivers just
don't work with Linux and you need to add something like ndiswrapper.

Ndiswrapper can have collisions with ACPI (reported in comments) and I
have one machine that will only run ndiswrapper correctly when ACPI is
forced off.
