barely 2 minutes, the size is huge 38MB. I wish to send this file as anTwice (at least) wrong:
email attachment. Hence, I used the tar -cjvf vi.tar.bz2 filename.
1. you don't use email to send large files (try www.yousendit.com)
2. you don't compress images or video
I tried this command as a super user and as a user but most of the time IBecuase you use the wrong syntax, nothing to do with the user.
got errors.
From this experience, I infer that unlike text files, the video files aren'tI thought that to be common knownlegde.
compressed well.
I hope there must be some utility for Linux/ Windows that enables a user toForget it. Stop looking.
archive/compress the video files more deeply. Can anyone here please direct
me to such a link? Tried Sorenson Squeeze but facing download issues.
The only real gain in volume is trough loss of resolution/quality.
