Anybody know what to look for with regard to MP3 players that can be
mounted as USB mass storage devices? I'm asking as the last one I
tried had some awful M$DOS5 variant for a file system, and try as I
might, I couldn't mount it read/write.
That would probably be a vfat filesystem which Linux handles, read write,
with no problem. By default it is read only except for root, but that can
be changed.
So, if you still have it, it will probably work.
No, no, and no. FAT maybe, but not VFAT. Root was the obvious "try
this then", but failed also. Took it back, decided to find out what
others had had better experiences with. Buying and *keeping* crappy
hardware only encourages them y'know. ;\
