USB Sound in RHEL 5

Hi all,

Since my onboard sound card has gone bad, I opted for USB sound card, the
typical Chinese made which is non-branded. Windows XP has no problem
detecting it. Earlier, I had RHEL 4 and now RHEL 5 and both of them failed
to get it working. It detects the USB sound card and when I do the testing
for sound, there's no sound output.
Can someone please tell me what could be missing?
