I just got done with a thread addressing this problem.

A couple suggestions were made by guys here, my son took them and
figured it out starting with their ideas and I reported back the
final cure. :)

The procedure used was...

Delete the known_hosts file every time, just before, you try to
access the internet and write down the ip address displayed.

Do that until you feel sure you've ran across them all.
In my case there were three for Panix.Com.

Ended up editing the known_hosts file (I used pico:) in a particular
manner so SSH could find each one of them.

Fix it yourself or get back in a week or so armed with all the ip
addresses and we'll go from there?

ps- You know HT, there is "sweet public school teacher help" and
there's "backhanded guy help"...the backhanded slap in the face
kind is usually the most valuable. Telling a guy that's trying
to help you to "shut up" is a fuckin stupid way to get help,
backhanded help or not.
