konqueror, setting for java software

It's been some time i posted a thread to ask how to make konqueror work
with java software. but i still didn't get any answer.

I'm runnning slackware 12.0 with the generic smp kernel. I'm using the
default installation of jre of slack12.0 and the path is set as /usr/lib/
java/bin/java in konqueror. but the engine never works. wheni check the
installation through java website it says it is not installed. I even
downloaded the latest version and installed it in /usr/java/ and set
konqueror to /usr/java/jre1.6.../bin/java but it still doesn't work.
