Unable to install Bentley's Microstation 95 for Linux

Hi, I'm mainly a SUSE user, running 10.0 on my main machine and on my
server, and 10.3 on my company lapop. I started using SuSE back in the days
of release 6.2.
In those early days, I got a CD-ROM with 'Microstation 95 Academic for
Linux'. Microstation is a CAD product from Bentley. They used to produce
releases for DOS, Windows, OS/2, Max and Linux. Today only for Windows, of
course...
I tried to install the CD on SuSE 6.x. From what I remember, I had the
install running, but got stuck on a missing library. Since then, I've
learned that I should've just linked the name of the needed lib to the
existing version in SuSE.
So, I tried to istall it on 10.0 a few weeks ago. No dice, couldn't even get
it to start installing. Allmost as if the executables of those times are no
longer compatible. Is that the case? Has there been a majer change in
executable code somewhere between 6.x and 10.x ? In 6.2, the kernel was
2.2.x or 2.1.x, can't be sure.
Any input welcome. For more details, just tell me which and how to produce
them. I'll post them.
