1) Linux does not understand C:, D:, G:, H:. For Linux, disk partitions
are named in a rational manner: /dev/hda is master drive on primary IDE
controller, hdb is slave on primary controller, hdc is master on secondary
controller, hdd is slave on secondary. Partitions are numbered as hda1,
hda2, etc.

3) If you install any modern Linux and let it write a boot manager to the
MBR (Master Boot Record), it will automagically set up the dual boot -
giving you a choice of OSs at boot - they normally default to themselves,
and that can easily be changed.
