I would like to know whether my computer supports sata I or sata II.
does anyone know how to get this information? I guess i have to check in
/proc
I checked in /proc/bus, but found nothing.

Do you want to know if your computer supports sata, or if you OS supports
sata? The linux kernel can support sata. You need to figure out what
motherboard you have, and see if it supports sata.
