if you want to prove opera guilty you'd need to replace it with
something of similar size and complexity, or better, get the
system to crash on different hardware.
at work we came across a case where Adata ram didn't work reliably in a Via
Mini-ITX board, we had to run memtest for a week for the problem to be
detected. running the clients (Macromedia) flash-based software for half a
day would also 'detect' it but that didn't give a useful error message
they would run linux for weeks running other software.
we replaced the Adata RAM with Kingston and the problem went away, but by
then it was too late.
