Sorry, but I am panicking a bit. I updated Debian Linux, and then
restarted the server. However, for some reason, now my 2.6 kernel is
not in the list, and the system refuses to boot from 2.4 because I am
using md RAID, and it's not supported.

I know that the 2.6 kernel image is still in the /boot, but I am not
sure what it's called. And I do not know how to add it to the list or
boot into it.

Fetch a linux rescue CD (most likely it's included in the Debian
install cd), boot, now you can mount your system hard drive and see
the names and edit grub.conf or lilo.conf depending on which boot
loader you use, remember that lilo will require that you reinstall it
after you changed the settings.

It was a net install form a floppy, no CD drive, and no floppy drive now. I
am using grub. Any way to list files in the /boot using grub command line?
