Pan2 is buggy and clunky, and only lets you have 4 connections to a
server.
.... since you complain about only 4 connections, ? does that mean you want
an nntp client well configurable for combining, downloading and decoding
multipart binaries?
KNode is fine, but only has one connection to a server.
Thunderbird is slow, and seems to insist on posting with SMTP. Also,
only one connection to a server.
The way you are framing your question it isn't clear what kinds of
features you want an nntp client to have.
If it is about binaries, there's also the issues of accessing multiple
servers and prioritizing them as well as the usage of .nzb files.
So, then we get into the wide gap between klibido/pypar for binaries and
the popularity of slrn for some for text.
