Re: how much space to rebuild kernel from source?

Hello,

Aragorn a écrit :

So compiling a new kernal in /usr/src causes no problems.

Except that you need to be root in order to write to "/usr/src"

Not on Debian :

$ ls -ld /usr/src/
drwxrwsr-x 2 root src 4096 May 7 2004 /usr/src/

So you need to be root or a member of the 'src' group.
