Where to mount partitions?

Hi, I'm currently using Fedora, and frequently use many of the dozen partitions on my HDD. As such, I am looking to establish a mount point for them through /dev/fstab so they are mounted at boot time.

But where?

When I mount them during operations they are stuck in /media, but that is intended for removable devices. Likewise, I could use /mnt, but that is intended for temporary mounts.

Of course I *could* mount them bloody wherever I felt like it, but where is the appropriate place?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Jon
