Hello Group,
I'm considering trying to form a LUG in Jackson, TN (midway between Memphis
and Nashville).

I've read the LUG-HOWTO, and am planning on advertising via flyers, Radio
and TV Public Service Announcements, and in this newsgroup as well as
comp.os.linux.misc. I've also emailed the contacts from other LUGs in
Tennessee. What was your most productive way of recruiting members?

I'd be very interested in hearing about your experiences getting a LUG
started, and possible ideas for flyers. I have a prototype flyer that
contains a graphic of Tux, and the text:

"Anyone interested in forming The Jackson Area Linux User Group, please
visit http://howse.no-ip.org/jalug.html
Linux is a FREE Open-Source Computer Operating System based on Unix.
Membership will not be limited to Jackson or Madison county.
There will be NO DUES until such time as the members decide otherwise."

TIA,
Charles Howse
