The "Software Wars" map has just been updated!

The "Software Wars" map shows the state of the software world in a
graphical form. Since 1998, it has been periodically updated to
reflect changes in the software industry, the antitrust trial,
Microsoft's dominance with respect to the rest of the industry and the
growing popularity of the Free Software/Open Source movement. The
latest update, from August 10, incorporates the SCO lawsuits and the
reactions from IBM, Red Hat and the GNU/Linux community. "A picture is
worth a thousand words", and you will find this image shows an
interesting perspective on current events :-)
It can be viewed at

or

and past versions (dated back to 1998) can be accessed from the top of
the page of

Enjoy!
