InterSystems and Nexaweb Partner to Offer
            Enterprise Internet Application Development Environment
High-Performance CACHÉ Database Supports Rich Enterprise Internet
                                  Applications

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—March 29, 2004—InterSystems Corporation and Nexaweb
Technologies, Inc. today announced they have joined forces to deliver
rich user interface functionality to enterprise Web applications built
on InterSystems’ high-performance CACHÉ database. The announcement comes
in conjunction with InterSystems’ annual Developer Conference, DEVCON
2004 (March 28-31 in Orlando, FL).

The alliance will combine Nexaweb’s Enterprise Internet Application
platform with InterSystems’ CACHÉ post-relational database to offer
customers the benefits of rich Internet applications, including
increased end-user productivity and lower application deployment costs.

InterSystems develops and markets the high-performance, low-maintenance
CACHÉ database and the Ensemble rapid integration platform. Nexaweb’s
software helps businesses develop rich enterprise Internet applications
that provide the in-depth functionality of desktop applications with the
deployment scale of the Internet. Through this alliance, InterSystems
and Nexaweb will offer a program designed to enable software development
organizations to quickly build and deploy CACHÉ-based rich enterprise
    Internet applications to their customers.

The advanced technology featured in CACHÉ, which provides a RAD
environment that is optimized for building highly scalable Web-based
applications, was a major reason behind the selection of InterSystems as
a database partner, according to Larry Geisel, Nexaweb CEO. “Our
customers demand applications with high performance and adaptability.
CACHÉ delivers the performance and functionality Nexaweb customers are
    looking for.”

“InterSystems is delighted to be partnering with Nexaweb. A solution
that leverages the power of CACHÉ to develop and deploy real-time
Internet applications will be very attractive to our customer base,
especially those in extremely competitive sectors such as financial
services. Nexaweb’s technology will add value to our customers’
applications,” says Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems vice president of
    strategic planning.

Nexaweb is kicking off its CACHÉ-based initiatives with a
proof-of-concept program that will be targeted at mid-to-large-sized
    financial services companies.
