Constant Data releases Continuous Data Protection for Linux and other
platforms

Minneapolis -- August 4, 2005 -- Constant Data, Inc., a leading provider
of high availability storage infrastructure software for continuous data
protection and distribution, today announced the release of its
next-generation Continuous Data Protection (CDP) solution.

Available for Windows, Solaris and Linux servers, Constant Data's new
CDP technology provides continuous ongoing data protection and
consistent point-in-time file recovery. The policy-based solution allows
the IT manager to easily and quickly create a comprehensive retention
and online recovery strategy to immediately restore corrupted or deleted
files to a previously known good state.

"The problem with current data protection technologies like snapshots or
old-fashioned tape backups is that they're not scalable and not
continuous. They miss all of the incremental data changes. The issue
with the other attempts at CDP today is that they recover to prior
unstable and unreliable points in time where some of the data is always
incomplete or corrupted," says Paul Sustman, CEO of Constant Data.
"Constant Data's CDP technology continuously safeguards content changes
to allow the IT manager to quickly and easily recover consistent and
usable prior versions of files from any point-in-time for either backup
or compliance purposes. Administrators can even recover deleted files."

Constant Data's premium CDP feature is being offered free of charge for
new or existing customers with Constant Replicator support contracts for
the month of August, 2005.
