Cannot snmpwalk agent remotely

Dear all

I have compiled net-snmp 5.0.8 on Linux rh 9.0 and can snmpwalk the agent
from the localhost, however I cannot walk it from any other machine on my
network.
I get Timeout messages when trying snmpwalk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
