... you've considered all the options. duel-booting is really
the best option. next is vmware. for a CD distro, i'd only
go with knoppix(.com). it's modern and is wonderful at h/w
detection.

BTW, you cant write to NTFS; you'll have to create a fat[32]
partition for sharing.

on another front with vmware - if this is an educational
project, you might check into educational discounts.
