I should have been a little more specific... My server will be connected to
the internet thru a DSL connection. I will just use the old Sprint mobile to
send out the SMS messages. So I will need a client app that runs on Windows
Pocket PC that will send the to, from, and message over the internet to my
server. My (Linux) server will then be running an app that takes the data it
receives and sends an SMS text message thru the Sprint mobile phone. When
the message arrives at the recipient, it should say it is from the Pocket PC
phone. So nobody that I send a message to will know about the setup. It will
look like an ordinary SMS text message sent directly from the Pocket PC
phone and when they hit reply the reply should come directly to the Pocket
PC phone, not the server. And there will be a web interface that has a to,
from, and message field where you can access it from any computer with web
access and send an SMS text message. Thanks in advance for any help...
My original message:
Does anybody know of an app that will use a Sprint cell phone to send SMS
messages to other cell phones? Here is my story... I bought a Hitachi G1000
Pocket PC phone from Sprint. Come to find out it doesn't support sending SMS
text messages. So I want to get an app that will send the txt message to my
server over the internet, and have my server connected to a Sprint mobile
phone, and have the SMS sent out that way. I would also want the SMS text
message to say it is from my Pocket PC phone, not from the Sprint mobile
connected to my server that is actually sending it out. Ideally this would
work with any mobile phone or computer that was running the client, and it
would also have a web interface to access it directly from the internet.
Anyone know of anything like this out there? If not, anyone want to help me
create one? I am a novice here, with no experience actually writing
software. But I am willing to give it a shot if someone can point me in the
right direction.
