Responsibilities for this position include:
- Design, implementation, and test of UNIX kernel features including device
drivers and file system software
- Design, implementation, and test of UNIX user level code such as file
system check, repair utilities, and configuration utilities
- Discuss/review the design and implementation of kernel and user level code
modules
- Support customer problems by working with, and advising, the field service
organization
Experience and education:
- B.S. in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Five or more years related experience
Required knowledge/skills:
- UNIX/Linux kernel development experience
- UNIX/Linux kernel file system development in a distributed or
multi-processor environment
- Good teamwork & communication skills
Desired knowledge/skills:
- Distributed lock manager experience
- Volume manager experience
- UNIX device driver experience
