digital camcorders using the ieee1394 interface. The ieee1394 protocol
also allows the control of the camcorder too, i.e. stopping, starting, etc.
You can do this using software like kino (http://kino.schirmacher.de/) or
cinelerra (http://heroinewarrior.com/cinelerra.php3).
