Hi.

This is an excellent introduction to C++ for people who already know
another programming language. It is *not* a CS1-level book, since
they're quite happy to talk about data structures.

They introduce the STL early on. For example, they do Vectors well before
they mention arrays. They don't discuss how one to build your own classes
until *after* the reader has seen how to use the various classes provided
by C++ and the STL.

I also liked their "Ruminations on C++".
