Red_Hat 9 and RH ES 3

I'm porting a software in C from AIX to Linux. I've used fro some moths Red
Hat 9, but changing into RedHat Enterprise Server 3 with the same excutable
i'm receiving some errors. During compilation i'm using libclntsh oracle's
library, libc and libm. On both systems i have 9.2 oracle client (and same
library) and libc 2.3.2. Why it happens (i mean why using same library and
executable i receive differetn results)?
