Overall, LDD is an excellent book. I believe I've got the
first two editions, but I should probably get a copy of the 3rd
as well. Beware that the tty layers has had a few significant
changes in the last couple years, so there may be a few
differences between the API in LDD3 and recent kernels.
It's a PITA trying to maintain a serial driver that's
compatible with all of the different API changes over the past
several years.
