The one who is wrong is you. printf debugging is just a waste of time.
Using a decent debugger
can be of much more value and much much faster then adding printfs to
find out problems of
control flow.
Maybe gdb is such a crap that there printf is faster but i really
doubt it. I can set breakpoints and logging
at 100 places in a minute and won't miss to print the correct
variables.
It's always the same with this Unix guys. They don't have decent tools
so they think everything is a nail for
there gcc/gdb hammer.
