Hello.
Please excuse, this might be off-topic:
I have asked this on the SuSE list but nobody could help:
I have a file /proc/kcore which sometimes shows up with 777 MB file
size, now with 640 MB file size which is the size of the RAM in my
machine.
I am not quite shure since this is the /proc directory: Is this the
place the kernel puts the core dumps?
Is there a way to find out which program crashed and triggered the core
dump?
cp /proc/kcore ~/desktop/kcore copied only 44 MB of the file. Is there a
reason for it?
Thanks for help,
Robert
