Hi,
after first playing with my Java-Station and trying to get a newer kernel to
run on it. I now tried it on AMD hardware (an athlon compiles faster than
a supersparc).
What I found is a little disturbing. The same .config and I patched from
2.4.4 to 2.4.5 and the machine would not send out any autoconfiguration
requests. Is anybody aware of this. I tried nearly all versions up to 2.4.21
and no dhcp or bootp-request leaves the machine so it could find its
root.
Is there maybe another config-option I have to enable?
Yes CONFIG_IP_PNP(_BOOTP/DHCP) are enabled.
Konstantin
