I have a curious problem compiling kernels under RedHat-9.0.
The compilation goes OK, but when I "make modules_install"
and then "make install" the compilation restarts with many messages
reading:
===================================================================
make: Circular /usr/src/linux-2.4.22-pre10/include/asm/hw_irq.h <-
/usr/src/linux-2.4.22-pre10/include/linux/smp_lock.h dependency dropped.
===================================================================
I haven't looked into this deeply,
but I didn't see any "circularity" on a quick glance.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.
