    Hi all,

I am interested in developing some drivers for input devices. Right now I
have XFree86 installed (installed with Mandrake 9) and have XFree86 4.3
compiled and installed to /usr/local/X11R6. What I would like to do is have
one of my user accounts be able to use the original mandrake default
xfree86, and one of my user accounts use the newly installed xfree86 4.3.
This will allow me to have one user for testing the new drivers and one user
    for everyday use.

On a separate note, when I use runlevel 3, startkde, then logout, I no
longer have a signal to my monitor.

Thanks everyone for your help and patience.
