I have just recently upgraded to kernel 2.6.1 using Slackware 9.1 with
pretty much all the current updates. I have found that when I am in X
Windows and switch to a different box and then back that I lose control of
the pointer. I had this problem with XFree 3.3.x and when 4.x.x came out
they added a reinit routine. That solved the problem that time. The temp
fix that I had was to switch to a console and then back.
I have found that with 2.6.x I lose control of the pointer until a reboot
is performed. This is not good. I have been searching the net looking for
an answer and found that there are a couple of others that have had this
problem as well. Many of the answers that were posted were to invest in a
linux compliant KVM... I am already running the Belkin OmniView SE 4 Port
and have found that it works great. The latest prepatch, 2.6.2-rc1
mentions in the changelog that the mouse has gotten squirlley and that
some of the issues have been resolved.
Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?
Thanks
Kris
