I'm writing a daemon that monitors services. Right now, the best way
to do that is to run chkconfig --list. Is there a chkconfig() function
or something, that can create such a list more efficiently?

... i have one daemon under /etc/rc.d/init.d. ... i used "chkconfig --add xxxxxd" and it still ... so the script should be ok. ... xxxxxd" and it retuns nothing, ...
