I am going to build an application using my RTA
package (http://www.runtimeaccess.com) that would
map the fields in /proc into tables in a database.
You would read the database using any of the
PostgreSQL DB tools or libraries. While not a
complete solution, this might be part of what you
want. Contact me if you would like to keep posted
on my progress.
This application is part of a tutorial/book that a
group of us are writing on Linux appliances.
