Hello friends ! its me Prasad !!,

Just now I updated my linux kernel to 2.6.8.1 release, and after
that I'm trying to insert a kernel module in it, but when I use the
    command

      1. "insmod -o chrdev target_chrdev.o" its reply was
----> insmod: can't read '-o': No such file or directory

and when I use the command

      2. "insmod target_chrdev.o its reply was
----> insmod: error inserting 'target_chrdev.o': -1 Invalid module
    format

I'm not getting where exactly I'm doing wrong, can anyone suggest
    me some
     solution...

       Bye
         -Prasad
