I have a script that runs every 5 minutes, captures the
output of 'vmstat 5 2' & writes it to a file. I use it
to make graphs of cpu/memory/swap load & sync it with my
application load.
If the load on a machine is low I get an error
once an hour, if the load is high I never get the error.
The error is:
open: No such file or directory
error: failed to parse /proc/stats
I use redhat & have seen the error with rh8, rh9, FC1 & FC2
but suspect that a problem with /proc/stats is a general
issue with the kernel.
Who do I report this to?
