How to design IDE software

    Hi,

    I wonder how to design an entire IDE software system like VC++ and Glade. I
    think the methodology is quite mature now but I can't find some infomation
    about the architecture of IDE system.

    This include the Frontend and the Backend(GUI, compile interactive, editor,
    debugger), can you tell me how to find these stuff?
