Hi,
Recently I've purchased a few LAN-adapters being of brand and model an
Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/PCI. I've found out that there is no support for
the PCI version of this adapter in the kernel. There is, however, a driver
for the ethernet controller fitted to the adapter (i82596). So I wanted to
adjust the existing i82596-driver to support PCI.
The problem thus far is that I can't communicate with the adapter because
I don't know how its registers are mapped into memory. This I really like
to know.
Unfortunately, Intel no longer supports the adapter and there seems to be
no technical information about the adapter availablef, except for a
data*** about the ethernet controller.
Any ideas what else I can do?
Grtz, Arthur
