And what if I'm notwilling to give it awaay? We did have worked on our
own stuff. We learned how to generate the proper debug information,
unfortunatly that format is now superseeded with some other stuff. And
again it would be us to follow all the way. But do not expect that you
will get any useful documentation. Of course we are "free" to read the
sources and dig through at least 4-5 levels of indirections, macros
defining other macros and and and
Well all is acceptable as long as it's "free" (as in speech), but if
you won't make yourself a GPL-coding slave, and go another way, the
only answer you get is "is it free?". A very good surrounding for
choices...

Oh, one probably can write scripts to let gdb do what one wants, but
strange enough nobody seems to have done it yet. Must be a reason for
that...

What an argument, because we do not pay for it we are not allowed ot
judge it. But even if you tried to get an alternative and would be
willing to pay, you won't get it. Exception Totalview, unfortunatly
the prices are opaque...

Of course if we do it for free, otherwise one is a "capitalist."
