Hi,
I was running a very demanding (in terms of memory) application on
linux 2.4.20-8smp kernel. It is a dual processor system. After running
for 2 days, the system became unresponsive. I had to hard reboot the
system. The following message was displayed on the terminal and also in
/var/log/messages :
Dec 28 15:28:10 guiserver kernel: [drm:i830_wait_ring] *ERROR* space:
116112 wanted 131064
Dec 28 15:28:10 guiserver kernel: [drm:i830_wait_ring] *ERROR* lockup
what is the problem and how to recover from such a situation?
TIA,
