    Hello World

I compiled and installed the 2.6.10 kernel on my Dell Inspiron 5100
laptop which runs Fedora core 2. However when I try booting into this
kernel, the root filesystem (ext3) gets mounted in read only mode
because of which I am unable to boot properly and the system ultimately
crashes. The laptop boots and works fine with 2.6.4 and 2.4.26 kernel.
Could some one please highlight what must I be doing wrong.
    Thank you.

    - Vishal
