Using Suse 9.3 as a syslog server

Hello,
I'm new to Suse and Linux and work in a windows only enviroment.Me and
another guy are trying to get Suse 9.3 to log or router and switches
and show management that Microsoft isn't the only os to use.

So with that beinig said I'm currently looking at the syslog-ng.conf.in
trying to figure out what I need to modify so that it can acccept logs
from other devices.

Can anyone point me in the direction I need to be looking?
