How to config GDB?

Hi,
        In my redhat Linux system, GDB shows "This GDB was configured as 'i386-redhat-linux-gnu'".
        So I want to know how to configure GDB? Is there any configure file?
        Maybe when building GDB, the parameters were configured and can't be changed?
