What kind of benchmark do you want? Every benchmark has its own
purpose.

Here are some benchmarks I know,

SPEC CPU http://www.spec.org/
openposix and LTP http://ltp.sourceforge.net/

You could get more from google. :)

linux: No such file or directory

our system is multiple thread/processing and running on multi-core
machine ( more than 4 cores). and it is calling a lot of gettimeofday.
Therefore, my concerns is the system call (especially the pthread_xxx
and lock/unlock(), pipe.. semapore ), network stack. thanks.
