Problem with "Wake on Lan"

I have got differences getting my PC woken up using
"Wake on Lan"

To do so, I do

*Now using the latest firmware v3.1b for my motherboard
K7S5A

* I have enabled "Wake on Lan" in the BIOS of my pc

On my server, which is directly connected to my pc, i type

ether-wake -i eth2 00:D0:09:EC:CE:C4

but nothing happens.

I tried this with my pc switched off and in hibernate mode, but still has
power.

-----------

If i try this setup with my laptop, same command line, on my laptop, it
works.

Does anybody have some experiences, or at least guide me to a more
moderate newsgroup ?
