Monta Vista flash

Does anyone know how to properly configure mtd flash under MV 2.4.17?

Here is the situation:

There are two flash chips, 16M each. They are contiguous in memory.

Redboot creates partitions in them as well as a partition file at the end
of the second flash.

When linux boots up it looks for this partition info but doesn't find it. I
think that linux is looking at the end of the first flash, not the second.

Help is much appreciated.
