hdlc driver help for PPP

I am new to PPP and need to customize the hdlc over an T1 device in an
embedded product.The hdlc over T1 using motorolla 860 hdlc controller
in stead of RS232.

Can anyone point me which set of files to change? My plan is to start
with generic hdlc,
