How can I get a "uuid" for a usb storage device?
>From "/var/log/messages" I get:
+++++++++==
Jul 3 10:53:57 localhost kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on
bus1/2, assigned device number 2
Jul 3 10:53:58 localhost kernel: usb.c: USB device 2 (vend/prod
0x7c4/0xa400) is not claimed by any active driver.
Jul 3 10:54:01 localhost /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup usb-storage
for USB product 7c4/a400/113
Jul 3 10:54:01 localhost kernel: Initializing USB Mass Storage
driver...
Jul 3 10:54:01 localhost kernel: usb.c: registered new driver
usb-storage
Jul 3 10:54:01 localhost kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2,
frame# 1424
+++++++++==
Does this help in anyway?
Eventually, I want to mount to the device using the uuid.
