I was thinking P4 but I am using PIII now and it works great. So maybe PIII.
I'd like to use it mostly to send email, browse, use OpenOffice and other
business applications, etc. Not a games machine. It would be nice to be able
to install some app that I want to without worrying about whether I have
enough resources to handle it.
I'd like to have a CD reader, possibly a CD writer. Don't need a DVD burner.
I use DSL with my current machine, so it would be nice if I could use a
Linksys router I have to connect the Linux box to the DSL, if that's
possible.
I'd like 256 - 512 Megs RAM and a decent videocard. I currently use an ATI
All in Wonder Radeon with 32 Megs RAM (which is now outdated), so something
like that would be good. I have a few perfect-working-order 7200 RPM 30Gig
HD's lying around (Seagate, WesternDigital and Maxtor) and I'd like to use 2
of those. They all have some previous Windows 2000 images on them now.
Thanks.
