What's up with this Monitor

The pc is basicly in grate shape, and lately i notised the monitor
giving ghost images of anything on the screen; horizontal,
ghost images. Example, this text and my sigature have have
ghost black lines, starting at one end of screen to the other end.
Looking this up online i came across some real nice
benchmark testing programs for this and a bunch of
stuff. Ran the monitor test and all seem well, but i still have all
these damn ghost images of everything my windows, the text in them,
icons, everthing. :( i do have a pair of new speaker, the sb 2.1,
but they are on the floor, so i don't think it them.
